You have hundreds or maybe thousands or even tens of thousands of Twitter followers however you’re unsure all of them are the real people or businesses-organizations. You would like to know, but you don’t know how. The web is a huge place and we like finding things, just like the cool find we ran into today. We are talking about a Twitter application that lets you know how many of your followers are fake (bots), inactive and what is good (as in real).
The development company StatusPeople (the creators of the app) with a sample of your followers, from what we understand from 100 to 500 followers, it can come up with the results above. StatusPeople said in an interview, that Twitter accounts with 10,000 or less followers will have the best and most accurate results.
The application, however, can’t actually come up with accounts that are fake or inactive, so really you don’t have that option to delete bots and spammers.
We have emailed StatusPeople today requesting a few more specifics on their application, we will keep you all updated if they do get back with us.
